Mentoring

Email Mentoring – $200 - There is no limit to the number or type of questions.  Once I’m your mentor, I’m there for you whenever you need me, for as long as you need me!  I don’t claim to know everything there is to know, but I’m more than happy to share every bit of knowledge that I’ve gained during my decade in the business!  Formerly only available to those living outside of Arizona, I’m now opening it up to people who live in Arizona, with the only stipulation being that I won’t be teaching you my exact post-processing technique (it wouldn’t make good business sense to train my competition in my exact style!) but I will provide you with all you need to know to find your own style and rock it!

In-Person Mentoring – $450 – This will include a whole day of instruction (we can cover anything you need – shooting, Photoshop, Lightroom, workflow, business) as well as a styled photo shoot with models.  And after your day with me is over I will continue to be there for you over email whenever you need me!  This will be open to anyone, inside or outside of Arizona.

Here is what some of my amazing students have to say…

When I first stumbled upon Jessica’s work, it was love at first sight. The authenticity of her images and the way they captured light and emotion so vividly really resonated with me. At that time, I felt stuck between what I could produce as a photographer and what I dreamed of producing in my wildest dreams. I was struggling to find and embrace my style in a city saturated with photographers. I was so passionate about my art but a little lost when it came to taking my next step. I was at the crossroads between photography as a side-project and diving in full time. I needed help, encouragement, inspiration and guidance. When I realized that Jessica offered distance email mentoring, I may have actually done a fist pump. I felt like if there was anyone out there whose style, business ethic and expertise I wanted to learn from, it was her. She helped me with everything from when to shoot to capture the best light to tips on planning my first round of mini sessions, from how to build my own self-confidence to everyday logistics of running a successful business. Even now that I’ve come so far since we first started corresponding, I can still come to her with a question here and there, which is what is so wonderful about this mentorship program. It’s not a one-time thing. It’s a relationship. I feel so blessed to have Jessica to help me along my photography journey, and my business as well as my photography skills are certainly better for it.

I am truly thankful for how generous Jessica has been with her knowledge and experience! I feel that I was able to take my images to a new level with her help. Whether my questions are simple or complex, she has always done a wonderful job helping me to understand the technical, artistic, and professional aspects of photography.

The very first time I saw Jessica’s work I just knew I had to talk to her.  There are so many workshops and mentorships out there whose teaches might know a lot, but their work is less than stellar.  As a professional photographer myself, I’m always on the lookout for mentors whose work stops you in your tracks – these are the photographers I want to learn from.  Not only is Jessica’s work incredible, but as a mentor she’s second to none.  Her kindness, patience, and non-judgemental nature made me feel right at home, and the knowlegde I gained took my business to a higher level.  I recommend her with all of my heart!
